There is always shelter and safety to be found in God and his word. In the book of Ephesians we are shown order for marriage and relationships as ordained by God and recorded in His Word. Jesus Christ literally lived it out, died once, and rose again to establish our salvation. I love the mental flesh check of "For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. Ephesians 5:29,30 We would do well to remember His admonition before, after, and during the agreement of "I do." As Christ did and does, so we are to do.
