I Heard Your Voice


Psalm 23-Beside Still Waters

At times when spending time in God's presence I write poetry, paint art parables, read the bible, or sit and soak in His Peace.  At times I rejoice, making melody in my heart, singing out loud and at times play my tambourine.  There are so many ways to spend time with the LORD.  Make time today, you will be glad you did.
I wrote this poem during my study for the art parable "Psalm 23-Beside Still Waters"



I Heard Your Voice

Beside still waters
I heard your voice
As a whispered song of love that flowed along.

As I traveled a weary road
I heard your voice as a crescendo
A bubbling brook that refreshed my soul.

As I lay to sleep
I heard your voice
As a wooing song
That lapped gently along the edges of my dreams
Rowing me home.

When my earthly journey is over
At the end of my days
I want to hear you say
"Well done, good and faithful servant."

Matthew 25:14-30


Matthew 25:14  For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.
His servants---his goods.  We are not our own, we are His and have been bought with a price.
Do not bury the talent, do not be an unprofitable servant.

Rhythm

Rhythm is something that occurs naturally yet we usually ignore the process. Everyday life has a rhythm. Most of us feel a sense of uneasiness when our rhythm is disturbed. Yet life constantly throws a few bumps in our path to interrupt the rhythm of our life. To everything there is a season and a time... so adjust your rhythm. Have you ever tried to dance with someone who was slighty out of beat. It is awkward at best, but with a few adjustments you can find the flow to move through life gracefully again. There is a popular country song that says "I Hope You Dance". At times situations in life can have you waltzing and then a Tango. Whatever the beat....remember.... you can dance and the Lord is singing over you with joy. Zephaniah 3:17 The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing. If God asked you a question, what would it be?

I find myself on a busy day sending a quick note or quick question for needed information to those that I know. I never really considered how often I ask a question. Being a fairly practical person I want to get an answer and bring any subject to completion when dealing with business. But relationships don't happen that way. And that is the difficult part! There are so many nuances and reasons why people do what they do. And usually they do not give a second thought to any of this! Well, I believe we need too! Have you ever tried to work on a puzzle where one of the pieces is missing or there is a piece that almost fits, but, not quite? Ugh! This will send me to my knees. Literally. Where is that piece? That's the way I feel at times dealing with people who make me look for the missing piece in a relationship and look and look and look. This train of thought was brought about by mulling over some personal issues. Well, like I said...I like completion. So my thoughts were twirl
