Prayer
In John 17, the KJV the chapter subheadings are broken into 3 parts:
1) Jesus' prayer for himself
2) Jesus' prayer for His disciples
3) Jesus' prayer for believers
I see a circle of reciprocals. Jesus modeled The Father and we model Jesus Christ. Jesus manifested God's name to the men God gave him. Jesus gave us the words which God gave Him.
God's word (logos) (rhema) is living word. As we pray His word, Living- alive word, there is a reciprocal that happens. As He is, so are we.
Praying The Word of God is a seed planted in the eternal. In the natural world when you plant a living seed in soil or moisture you receive what you planted. **As conditions are favorable, the seed buds and comes forth.
** Spiritually, praying the Word brings a harvest, because God honors His Word and the Word will not come back without result.
Isaiah 55:11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
Today is the day. Daily we are given the opportunity to focus on the goodness of the LORD. As God's elect there is a need to be diligent and focused. We must not live our lives carelessly without thought of who we are and what we have become through the shed blood redemption that Jesus Christ gave for our eternal life.
And so we begin. We awake, and there He is. As we slept, He watched over us. God's tender care is always present to provide, His eyes are ever watchful and He delights in hearing from His Children.
God never tires of my dependence upon Him. He rejoices in my need of Him and your need of Him.
Everyday life and the myriad of actions and thoughts can scatter the best intentions, but prayer refocuses the mental buckshot into true aim. So as we pray we may start scattered, but He gathers.
At times when we pray we pray with good intentions but God watches over His Word and makes it a God Intention.
So today, as His child don't wonder what to pray. Pray.
~Debbie
Psalm 19:14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
Matthew 21: 22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

Jehovah Jireh, God is Our Provider
Today, as I was doing chores my attention was refocused with a scripture that was being spoken as I walked into another room.
The sentence fragment that boomed into my hearing was from the gospel of Luke about the Prodigal.
Luke 15:20 But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.
As I heard this scripture the LORD reminded me that life and our walk with Him is a journey.
In the past I painted an Art Parable called The Prodigal and Family .
The Prodigal and Family

When I was younger I would hear people say "We got a ways to go yet" to my questions of arrival or timing. It may take a while, but keep moving toward the Father. If you have been overcome with a prodigal mindset or lifestyle choice, keep moving toward God. Do not run away, move toward the Father. It comforted me to know that even when the prodigal was still a long way off, the father ran.
So, some days it seems I am a great way off, and yet Jehovah Jireh my provider is waiting with open arms to meet me where I am and walk with me the rest of the Way home.

Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
1 Peter 1:3,4 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
1Peter 2:9 -10 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:
Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
Psalm 136:24 And hath redeemed us from our enemies: for his mercy endureth for ever.
2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
1 John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, then he that is in the world.
Daniel 11:32 And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.
Psalm 91:1-16
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, andfrom the noisome pestilence.
He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, eventhe most High, thy habitation;
There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
Revelation 5:9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
Revelation 21:1-8
And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
Amen

Repost from Beth Moore's blog
I am posting an excerpt from Beth Moore's blog at LPM from September 13, 2014.
Enjoy! God loves us so much.
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Proverbs 15:23 A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it!
Beth's encouragement below was just that, ..a word in due season for me, I pray it is a word spoken in due season for you also.
~Debbie
My Beloved Sister,
Jesus drew you to this day
To call you to respond.
What will you do
With what He has said?
God chose you and gifted you
For this very generation.
You are the exact woman
Jesus came looking for today.
Stop telling yourself
This is about someone else
You are the one He wants.
You’re not too young.
You’re not too old.
You haven’t strayed too far
Or waited too long.
Let Jesus step fully into your story
And write a narrative for your life
That does the world good
And gives God glory.
People out there need what you have to offer.
Quit listening to your fears and insecurities.
Stand up and step out and meet some needs.
You are my sister.
I’ll cheer you on.
I will support you and love you
I’ll stop competing and comparing.
I want to be a woman women can trust.
Let’s do this thing side by side.
We’re so much stronger together.
Sister, stay in His Word
Fight for love and keep your faith.
Follow hard after Jesus
All the rest of your days.
He will never do you wrong.
He will never reject or betray you.
He will make something beautiful
Out of all your pain.
In every loss
He will be your gain.
A lost world is waiting out there.
The darkness is aching for light.
Get out there and serve with all your might.
Because, my beloved sister.
You
Are
A woman
Of God.
Go show somebody what she looks like.

Remember
Remember.
God Loves You.
Psalm 33:11-12 The counsel of the LORD stands forever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.
Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, and the people whom he hath chosen for his inheritance.
1Peter 2:9-10 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of the darkness into his marvelous light:
Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

Weed or Flower?
I originally posted this encouragement in 2010.
When my oldest daughter was a little girl she presented an older family member with a freshly picked flower from the yard. I do not remember what the flower was, but the person who received the gift saw it as a weed, not as a flower.
He considered all flowers that were not of the genius that he cultivated to be weeds. He worked in horticulture and propagated new flowers. He had mastered flower knowledge yet was in the infant stage of sensitivity. He failed to see the bud of sharing that was growing in my young daughters heart.
"That is not a flower, that is a weed" he said, as she presented her gift. " I do not want it, take it out of the house."
Her child like response was " But I picked it for you".
Needless to say. I was not pleased and my daughter appeared confused by the rejection. She went from a smile and out stretched hand to a bewildered look and retreat.
I followed.
I tried to explain to her that not everyone would appreciate our gifts and yet we should still give. He did not like her flower, but I did.
Years later, we still give a horrified laugh when we remember the insensitivity of the situation. There were other times when this same person was giving but had a hard time receiving. It would be easy to only perceive the weeds in life and not look for the flowers.
Weed or flower? The choice is yours.
It is really all about how you view it.
We used that day to learn to look beyond the obvious and try to be patient with each other.
By the grace of the Holy Spirit and a realization of our own faults we will be able to patiently anticipate the finished work in each other.
Only the potter knows when the pot is finished and complete. We are told to be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving one another.
Be patient with each other, sometimes things are not as they appear at the moment.
But the sculptor of our soul sees the complete picture before the unveiling.
Be patient.
Wait for the "Ta Da"! at the unveiling.
~Debbie Turner Chavers

His Body
Recently, I heard a conversation between a young girl and her grandpa in the parking lot on the way into the sanctuary at church. As I walked I overheard her asking a question as a statement. "The fingers and toes are important. Aren't they papa? " "Yes, they are." He replied.
Within a few seconds I was in the building and they were part of the crowd around me. Just a bit of random overheard conversation on my journey. Or was it?
I think not. I have been studying for the past couple of weeks the role of the body of Jesus Christ in the earth and my part in that body.
One of my conversations with the LORD as He is teaching me was an example based on a missing part within a whole. Mental imagery, a pie with a slice missing. The pie is still a pie yet the imagery shows you something is missing!
The slice of pie has left the building!
Think of a stick figure, even the youngest artist will draw a head, a trunk, two arms, and two legs. But we all know that there are a lots of parts not shown that cause the body to function.
Most of of us do not feel necessary in the Body or to the Body, yet there is a need for those who are hidden. Some of us are are hidden by choice and others by their use within the Body. Each part is necessary and has a vital role within the Body.
The Body and Bride of Christ has Jesus Christ as the Head and we are the members of His Body. So as a child of God I have sometimes wondered about those fingers and toes and all the other people who are the members of Christ and how we function together as a whole versus our individual lives before God.
As I pondered these thoughts, and wondered at my own place within the Body, the LORD showed me an example.
He reminded me of how a body reacts when something is amputated or missing in the body. The body will function in most cases by relearning and accessing what is available to get the job done.
But the best scenario is each member in place by the Creator God performing its intended use and gift or gifts within the Body. Scripture tells us that God has fitted the Body of Christ with many members and they have different gifts given by God.
Read the entire chapter of 1 Corinthians 12 and Romans 12 to see the beauty of the Body of Jesus Christ and it's function.
1 Corinthians 12:12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
Romans 12:4-5 For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:
So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.
So after reading 1 Corinthians 12 and Romans 12, what part and gift has God given you in the Body of Jesus Christ's? Whatever it is, you are needed and wanted.
The Body will still function, but not as well as it could with you and I in it, doing what God has enabled us to do.

Shackled...to Freedom
![]() |
© 1996 Debbie Turner Chavers
My Initial Art Journal Sketch
|
As I was cleaning house, I started thinking about salvation and how rules and regulations appear to our fleshly nature. Whenever we have been shackled in any kind of bondage, unsaved condition or habit and are finally set free, even wearing a bracelet can feel impossible to manage.
Any weight of condemnation or rules governing us, seem unbearable to our fleshly nature.
Almost offensive, instead of seeing the rules or regulations as protection, we can, without knowledge of God's word and His character view them as bondage. In our lack of understanding it just becomes a different kind of bondage.
It is so very important that we renew our mind in God's word so as to understand His heart toward us.
The Love of God shows us that His Word is a beautiful gift given by God to His Beloved. You and I. As you invest in your relationship and realize the Bridegroom has gifted you, you wear the gifts of His word and Way proudly.
Instead of feeling restricted, you feel beloved and taken care of by the Father.
As I thought on this, the LORD reminded me of Genesis 24.
All of Genesis 24, but in particular verse 22 and verse 53. Genesis 24 is about a search for a wife for Isaac, the heir of Abraham. The servant of Abraham has gone to procure a wife from Abraham's people. He finds Rebekah, a damsel by a well of water who displays a servants heart and is part of Abraham's brethren. After her initial kindness of giving the servant of Abraham a drink of water and watering his camels, she is gifted with a golden earring of half a shekel weight, and two bracelets for her hands of ten shekels weight of gold.
Rebekah then offers hospitality to him and his animals at her family's home after his initial inquiry of who she was and if there was room in her father's house for he and his camels. Her brother, Laban and her dad, Bethuel answered the servants inquiry of Rebekah's availability
Just as Rebekah had a choice to go to a new life or stay in her old way of life, we too have a choice.
Rebekah was presented with a plan for her future, she made a choice. We have been presented with a plan for our life and conduct also. The Servant is a representation of the Holy Spirit who is wooing us to the Son. Presenting all that Jesus is, was, and will always be and waiting for us to accept the offer of marriage from the Bridegroom, Jesus Christ. Accepting the offer of salvation causes us to inherit the promises of God, salvation and the riches of heaven. The Father, God has sent the Holy Ghost to man on the earth to call us unto Himself.
The journey is before you, the Bridegroom awaits.

Jesus died for all and offers salvation to all. Regardless of your current lifestyle or past choices, today is a new day and a new opportunity to seek the LORD while He may be found.
Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of The Lord shall be saved.
Revelation 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
The damsel Rebekah listed in Genesis 24 is an example of this sermon, but as I typed, the LORD reminded me of the Samaritan woman by the well who talked to Jesus. Her life choices up to that moment in time had not been good, yet Jesus sought her and offered her the water of Life. You can read the letter of love in John 4:6-42.
Isaiah 61:10 I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.
John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
Romans 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
Colossians 2:2-3 That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; in whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

Think on These Things
Philippians 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Daily we are given the opportunity to think. There are so many scriptures that admonish us to control our thoughts. I want to encourage you to put up an umbrella of God's word over your thinking cap!
It is imperative to your well being to imprint God's word in your spirit. To see yourself in God's Word. See yourself in the pages of victory.
The Bible...your love story. Your great adventure. Your battle won. Your land of more than enough. Your moment when the sun stands still.
See yourself and His love for you woven in the tapestry of time. God has not forgotten you. He loves you.
Psalm 139:17 How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!
You are so LOVED.

Adversity
I could not find the original author of the story "Carrot, Egg, or Coffee Bean? The story is presented in several versions online. The young woman could be older or be a male. I see the story as a representational parable. The mother could be you. Regardless of the role played, the sentiment is the same. Really think through the story....are you acting as the pot of water? If so...turn off the heat. Or do you relate more to the things being boiled?
How do you respond to adversity?
~Debbie
Psalm 37:39 But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble.
Carrot, Egg, or Coffee Bean?
A young woman told her mother about her life and how things were so hard. She did not know how she was going to make it and wanted to give up. She was tired of fighting and struggling. It seemed that as one problem was solved, a new one arose.
Her mother took her to the kitchen. She filled three pots with water and placed each on a high fire. Soon the pots came to a boil. In the first, she placed carrots, in the second she placed eggs, and the last she placed ground coffee beans. She let them sit and boil, without saying a word.
In about twenty minutes she turned off the burners. She fished the carrots out and placed them in a bowl. She then pulled the eggs out and placed them in a bowl. Then she ladled the coffee out and placed it in a bowl.
Turning to her daughter, she asked, "Tell me, what do you see?"
"Carrots, eggs, and coffee," she replied.
She brought her closer and asked her to feel the carrots. She did and noted that they were soft. She then asked her to take an egg and break it. After pulling off the shell, she observed the hard-boiled egg. Finally, she asked her to sip the coffee. The daughter smiled as she tasted its rich aroma.
The daughter then asked, "What does it mean, Mother?"
*Her mother explained that each of these objects had faced the same adversity -- boiling water -- but each reacted differently. The carrot went in strong, hard and unrelenting. However, after being subjected to the boiling water, it softened and became weak. The egg had been fragile. Its thin outer shell had protected its liquid interior. But, after sitting through the boiling water, its inside became hardened. However, the ground coffee beans were unique. After they were in the boiling water, they had changed the water.
"Which are you?" she asked her daughter. "When adversity knocks on your door, how do you respond? Are you a carrot, an egg, or a coffee bean?"
Think of this: Which am I? Am I the carrot that seems strong, but with pain and adversity, do I wilt and become soft and lose my strength?
Am I the egg that starts with a malleable heart, but changes with the heat? Did I have a fluid spirit, but after a death, a breakup, a financial hardship or some other trial, have I become hardened and stiff? Does my shell look the same, but on the inside am I bitter and tough with a stiff spirit and a hardened heart?
Or am I like the coffee bean? The bean actually changes the hot water, the very circumstance that brings the pain. When the water gets hot, it releases the fragrance and flavor of your life. If you are like the bean, when things are at their worst, you get better and change the situation around you. When the hours are the darkest and trials are their greatest, do you elevate to another level?
How do you handle adversity? Are you changed by your surroundings or do you bring life, flavor, to them?

She developed the Geodesic Learning™ theory (brain-compatible learning) that has been conservatively shown to increase academic performance by 35-75%. This revolutionary theory explains the Science of Thought, stating that everything you do is first a thought in the you physical brain. You think, and then you do, which cycles back to the original thought, changing it, and the thoughts connected to it, in a dynamic interrelationship. Therefore if your thinking is toxic, then your communications and actions are toxic, and vice versa.

Neutral
Life can have you running at a high rpm. So when life is coming at you hard and fast, do not forget that little gear called Neutral.
I posted this originally, April 2010.

Shifting life's demands can require a steady hand, a close eye on the road, and regular fill-ups.
Neutral in my life is spending time with God through prayer and the reading of His word. But even with regular maintenance, the issues of life still shift me into high gear at times. Sometimes the frenetic pace seems a bit exciting, but an all out run for your money, can also drain your last bit of energy for the road ahead.
So.
Back to Neutral...literally.
This point was driven home recently by the need to drive someone else's car and my inability to shift from Park to Reverse. The car had a stick shift that refused to go into gear while the engine was running.
No amount of self-effort would move it.
So I sat there, becoming more aggravated by the moment.
All my effort still left me in Park. When I turned off the engine and applied the brake, I could easily move the gear into Reverse.
Alright, so the gears work!
Yet, as soon as I turned the engine on, the gears would lock.
Not moving.
I called for help.
My help, came from my husband, who said, " Put the car in Neutral with the brake engaged, turn on the engine and move the gear into reverse. "
Wow! it worked.
A simple gear change.
If you find yourself not going forward and not going backwards. A shift in gears in needed.
Neutral.

A Life Redemption
Good Morning,I read an amazing encouragement this morning from Joyce Meyer in "100 ways to simplify your life".I pulled out the gist of the message that refreshed me from pages 61-62."Condemnation is a feeling of guilt and shame that presses you down.Jesus comes to lift us up, not press us down. It is the devil who wants to press us down and keep us there. He brings condemnation, but Jesus offers forgiveness and restoration. The devil offers complexity and confusion; Jesus offers simplicity in its purest form.Every time we sin, the Holy Spirit convicts us but the devil tries to denounce and condemn us.We need to know the difference.Conviction is for the purpose of leading us to admit our sin and repent.Condemnation only makes us feel guilty and actually weakens us and keeps us in a cycle of sin.We must decide not to accept condemnation."-Joyce Meyer-----------------------------------------I am reminded that God loves us so much, that even as His Holy Spirit brings any fault to mind, He quickly reminds us of His power and love to bring us restoration in all things. His ability to redeem all and everything. God's correction/ conviction is not a death sentence but a LIFE Redemption .I am reminded of 2 Corinthians 3:5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves, but our sufficiency is of God.God is so able.Reading Psalm 78 restates for me the mercy/ conviction given by God in lieu of condemnation.I am so comforted by Isaiah 48:17 Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God, which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.May you be encouraged and be an encourager of God's goodness as you walk your path today.

Shotgun Gospel repost
Daily I realize the gift that God has given mankind, the gift of choice, the ability to come to Him freely.
He has invited ALL to come to Him. God is an equal opportunity LORD of All.
If your choice is wrong there are consequences. Right or wrong choice, a consequence. But you always have a choice. God will not force you into a shotgun gospel relationship. Those who come to Him must come willingly. He wants you to gladly come to the Marriage Feast of the Lamb.
But I ask, "How long will you halt between two opinions? Today is the day. He is knocking at your hearts door asking you to be in an eternal relationship with Him. Marry him. Give yourself and your will completely, wholly to Him. He will in no wise cast you out. He will not divorce you, reject you, or look away when you are less than lovely.
He will behold you and say MINE.
Will you say YES to the King of kings and Lord of lords? Will you? If yes. There will be rejoicing.
As with any wedding there will be rejoicing. Angels will rejoice and it will be recorded in the Lambs Book of Life.
A forever commitment.
Jesus, He will never leave you or forsake you.

Blood
I wrote this in 2011 and felt led to share it again.
The beauty of communion. I do not like pictures of a suffering Christ, yet I find great comfort in partaking in the Lord's Supper.
I celebrate His victory, His obedience, that bought our freedom from sin and death.
Matthew 26:28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
The shedding of His blood bought you and I the beauty of salvation. Jesus has invited us to accept his offer of salvation and afterwards to remember his gift to us through the taking of Communion. We have been entrusted with the privilege of eating with the Lamb of God here on earth and in Heaven.
To eat, drink and remember His sacrifice, therefore I take communion on a regular basis to remember Him as He said.
If you do a study of the word blood in scripture, you will see that God is quite specific about its importance.
There are 447 listings of the word blood in the bible.
As you read John 6, you will see how blood and its application became a decision point. Jesus was very specific, some would not receive His word.
John 6:66 states that " From that [time] many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him."
Even today, there are disciples that are walking away.
As for me I will repeat what Simon Peter told the Lord in the book of John.
John 6:68,69 Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.
The world has taken an ungodly interest in blood. Not the redeeming blood of Jesus Christ, but the consumption of real blood and those that drink it. As you study the Word of God, you can see why the god of this world desires to pervert people's understanding about blood, specifically the drinking of blood by vampires.
There is no redemption in this.
The only drinking of blood that God approves is the remembrance of celebrating Jesus Christ sacrifice through taking Communion. Physically partaking of actual bread and wine, spiritually partaking of the remembrance of His shed blood at Calvary
Luke 22:19,20 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake [it], and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.
Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup [is] the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.
John 6:53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.
Will you also walk away from the truth, back into darkness? Have no fellowship with darkness. Walk in the light, as He is in the light.
1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
1 Thessalonians 5:21-23 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil. And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and [I pray God] your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Worthy is the Lamb of God
Revelation 5:9,10 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
Revelation 5: 11,12 And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.
And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, [be] unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.
