Eat. Drink. Rest. Eat. Drink. Rest

© 1996 Debbie Turner Chavers

Revelation 1:5-6  And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth.  Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood.
And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father, to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Feeling over whelmed and under helped in daily life?  Me too.  I am writing this to encourage you as well as myself to move forward.  Daily life and the weariness of the day in and day out toil of life can drain your smile right out of your soul!  Weariness in a world filled with trouble is a common complaint.

Yes, God knew there would be days like this.  So He gave us His Son, His Spirit, and an instruction manual to keep us on course when the winds blow, or the waves try to knock our house down. AKA..the house being you and I.

I am praying for you, where ever you are on this journey in life. Praying that once again you can see the beauty in the smallest things.  That the eyes of your understanding would be quickened by God's Spirit.
Move forward in your commitment or recommit yourself to seeking Him, to sit at His feet and be refreshed. He loves us so.
In the natural as well as the spiritual world there is a season for all things.  Allow a sabbath rest to incubate the seed of God's word to bring a fresh harvest of delight to your soul and mind.

Most things are not a quick fix.  Some days you may not feel like seeking or sitting.  Do it anyway. Possibly, you read the Word and feel nothing?  Read it anyway.  Most of us do not enjoy every bite of food we consume.  Yet, to stay alive, we eat.  Whether your flesh rejoices or not, your spirit is refueled and you are renewed in the spirit of your mind by His Word.

You were made for eternity. Eat like there is no tomorrow.
I know...think about it.

Mark 6:30-31  And the apostles gathered themselves together unto Jesus, and told him all things, both what they had done, and what they had taught.
And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.

Matthew 6:25
John 6:55
1 Corinthians 10
Ephesians 1:7
Ephesians 4:23

Everlasting to Everlasting

                                                                 Are You Thirsty?

There has never been a moment in time that you were not of imminent concern to God. He had a plan before we were ever conceived.  Psalm 139; Jeremiah 31:3
God has always desired to bless and keep you from the very beginning.  The time is now, do not delay. The Lord is returning for his own.  Be ready. Mark 13

Psalm 90:2  Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.

Psalm 103:17-18  But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children:
To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.

Psalm 106:48  Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting: and let all the people say, Amen. Praise ye the LORD.

Revelation 21:6  And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.  I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

Revelation 22:1  And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

John 4:14  But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

Revelation 22:12-17  And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
I am the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches.  I am the root and offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
And the Spirit and the bride say, Come.  And let him that heareth say, Come.  And let him that is athirst come.  And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

You Are Well Able

Recently I watched a broadcast of a group of young children making colorful hand prints on a wall for the "Hand of Hope" missions outreach of Joyce Meyer ministries.
The children were making perfect little multi-colored hand prints.  But the one that drew my attention was the little blue one that was smeared on the wall. The precious child who smeared their hand print was the one that reached out and grabbed my attention, not the multitude of perfect hand prints.
I don't know if this child knows her Heavenly Father yet, but her effort has already left a beautiful image with me. You may not think your life counts or that you are making a difference in the kingdom.  But this small, imperfect attempt at leaving a mark, resonated with me.
Your every day life with its possible triumphs and mistakes are impacting someone.
Don't give up.  God can and will use your "smeared hand print."
In life we put our hands too many things, at times successfully and sometimes with a smear!
We have the comfort of knowing that even when our attempts are less than perfect that God has his perfect hand upon us.
Your attempts may not be perfect, but keep your hands on the plow because the fields are ripened onto harvest.
So possibly your attempt at doing something for God has left you less than enthusiastic.
Don't give up. Lift your eyes and put your hand back on the plow.
Move onward, knowing that God is for us, not against us!
With all our imperfections and second and third and fourth attempts.
We are still so loved.
And through Christ Jesus working in us, 'we are well able' to live our lives in Him.
There is much to do and no man knows the day or the hour of Christ's return.  So eyes up, feet forward and march onward.

Remember, the precious child who smeared their hand print was the one that reached out and grabbed my attention, not the perfect hand print.

Matthew 25:13  Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

Luke 9:62  And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

John 4:34-38 Jesus said unto them,  My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.
Say not ye,There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest?  behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields: for they are white already to harvest.
And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal:  that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.
And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth.
I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men laboured and ye are entered into their labours.

Hebrews 12:2-3  Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

Worthy of All Praise

The LORD, the Lord God Almighty, just and true is he.  He has loved us with an everlasting love.
Worship Him, for He is worthy of all praise.

~Debbie

Revelation 4:8  And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night  saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.

Revelation 11:17  Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come;  because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.

Revelation 15:3  And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty;  just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.

Revelation 16:7  And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgements.

Revelation 21:22  And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple in it.
