FEBC-Christ to the World by Radio

FEBC, They communicate the Good News among the nations by media to inspire people to follow Jesus Christ.  Please check out the link provided here to see videos and testimonies of those whose lives have been changed. I have cut and pasted the excerpt and video from their home page.

Romans 10:13-15  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

Reaching Ethnic People Groups

Committed to reaching the remote, FEBC has been training and using indigenous programmers for many years, for the purpose of reaching people in their native language.  More than two thirds of FEBC’s total programming is delivered by nationals in 60 different ethnic languages. Regardless of the language, radio is an excellent way to reach people in almost any location or circumstance.  It not only breaks the barrier of illiteracy for those who cannot read, it’s the perfect vehicle for those living in cultures and countries that oppose Christianity.  While someone seeking to know more about Christ from a Buddhist or Muslim culture would be reluctant to open their door to a Christian, they would privately listen to a radio or Internet program in their quest for the truth.

Journeys

Going Home
© 1996 Debbie Turner Chavers

Journeys by nature can cause you to grow in depth and preparedness.
Journeys give you new perspectives via new horizons.  If there is any struggle during the journey you generally gain new strength and ability.
You can also gain additional discipline from preparations accomplished before the journey, during, and after the journey.
This life we live is a journey toward eternity. The final destination will be Heaven or Hell.
As I considered these thoughts, I opened my Bible to read Luke 23:50-56.

Luke 23:50-56  And, behold, there was a man named Joseph, a counsellor: and he was a good man, and a just.
The same had not consented to the council and deed of them; he was of Arimathaea, a city of the Jews who also himself waited for the kingdom of God.
This man went unto Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus.
And he took it down, and wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a sepulchre that was hewn in stone, wherein never man before was laid.
And that day was the preparation, and the sabbath drew on.
And the women also, which came with him from Galilee, followed after, and beheld the sepulchre, and how his body was laid.
And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment.

In my mind, I see such a tender scene of Joseph stepping up to minister in his boldness to identify with Jesus Christ after his death even as he fulfilled a prophesy concerning the Messiah. Whereas, the Apostles who had been daily with Jesus, hid.
I would not chide the Apostle's, I see their humanity, if not their boldness on that particular day.  Fear of crucification was a serious consideration.
But I am blessed by the women who prepared to care for Him even after His death. The women who had ministered to Jesus, those who others had over looked or looked away from. These were the ones seeking to serve their Messiah.  Jesus had given them the compassion, deliverance, and care that these women needed during his life.  He had considered their weakness yet gave them His strength and purpose.  He led them to lead.  When He arose as He said He would, I love the fact that women were the first to whom He appeared.  He is no respecter of persons but they were seeking Him, and they found Him!

Proverbs 8:17  I love them that love me, and those that seek me early shall find me.

Jeremiah 29:13  And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

Isaiah 53:9  And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.

This journey toward eternity, where are you?  What final destination have you chosen for yourself? Is today your day of preparation? Have you perceived and accepted the truth of Jesus Christ's death, burial, and resurrection?  Have you hid? Or are you waiting to prepare your spices and ointments to meet the King?
Where are you on this journey in life? Seek the LORD while He may be found.

Journaling

As I am studying scriptures for the art parable I am currently painting I am looking through some of my earlier journal entries.  I make an effort to study God's word daily and look for and try to remember to record the physical, verbal, or emotional strings of life that are being woven into the tapestry of my daily endeavor.  These notes I record may seem random at first but I have never failed to be amazed of the picture that the Holy Spirit paints in my understanding as I consider the tapestry woven together.
I want to encourage you to journal.  To jot down daily the insight you receive as you live your life.  There are small and large "AHA" moments that speak to you.  If you write them down you may be amazed at the insight you receive.
It could be insight concerning yourself, a situation, or something or someone that needs your attention. The study of God's word always bring a harvest.

Proverbs 31:22  She maketh herself coverings of tapestry, her clothing is silk and purple.

Study Aid for Bible Study

                                                         © 1999 Debbie Turner Chavers

Good Morning! Today is a new day, a new opportunity to begin anew. This is the second time I am reposting a study aid from Joyce Meyer Ministries to help in our study time in God's Word.  God loves you and I so very much and loves to spend time with us.  To communicate His goodness into our everyday lives. We can spend hours thinking about conversations and words spoken by another human but the ground of our heart was made to receive and bring forth an abundant harvest of fruit from the Word of God, Jesus Christ.

~Debbie

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Ezekiel 36:26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh.

Ezekiel 11:19  And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you: and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh.

Luke 2:35  (Yea, a sword shall pierce through thy own soul also,) that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.

Luke 8:15  But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
John 14:24  He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.

Find Reconciliation in God’s Word

God’s Word doesn’t just reconcile you and God. It can help build new bridges between you and family and friends.

This Week's Scripture:

It was God [personally present] in Christ, reconciling and restoring the world to favor with Himself, not counting up and holding against [men] their trespasses [but cancelling them], and committing to us the message of reconciliation (of the restoration to favor). 2 Corinthians 5:19
