Your Feelings are not the Facts

Today I took a mental break by watching people who made me laugh with good, clean humor. As an adult I am on the look out for things that give me a giggle or better yet a full belly laugh.
With the stresses of everyday life it is easy to give over to feeling over-whelmed. And yet God has gifted us with laughter and situations and people who stir up joy within us.
Pay attention to opportunities around you to rejoice. It is a blessing to observe the small things and yet sometimes it is the small stuff that drives us into depression. Did you know that smiling, even if it is not sincere still creates a positive effect in your body. If you observe yourself smiling in a mirror sometimes the absurdity of it will make you start laughing! Try it. Who knows you just might feel better. I have found personally that anytime I am growing in an area my feelings usually freak me out. This has caused me to pray with quiet desperation at times. O.K. not so quiet at times. During some of these tearful rants between me and the Lord, in which I was ranting and He was patiently listening I would tell Him how I FELT!
When you are upset or depressed your feelings are screaming for attention. After, repeatedly stressing to the Lord about....but I feel... He reminded me through His word to trust His word, not my feelings. It was stressed to me that my feelings were not the facts.

Remember.......A feeling is an emotional statement not the truth.

You may feel unloved, yet you are loved.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Proverbs 17:22
A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.

Remember God does Love YOU.

Once again, just the message I needed. I'm going to look a little closer at those nearby opportunities for a giggle. If nothing presents itself, then I'll try one of those forced "mirror smiles". I trust that will work!
A smile on your face, forced or other wise is a lovely thing.
Wishing you a laughter filled life.

Hi Debbie, Just as I was reading your message today, I was thinking,
Kristi needs to read this. Then as I went to the comments I find that she has already been here at your well drinking the WORD. Thank you for all you give to us strangers passing by.

Thank you for the encouragement, Jules. God's WORD is so awesome!
