Technology-Tool? or Idol?

Today we are flooded with technology. The ability to check in or check out with a finger tip. Often the technology strips away our humanity and leaves us with a social facade. We hide behind the tech cover. Many have fallen beneath the allure of checking out. It has become easier to live life at "screens length".
There is a need to regularly do a "soul check" of our use of technology.
Have you replaced one on one time with others, with social media?
It is difficult to have a meaningful relationship with anyone, when there is a screen of any kind in between you and another human.
When technology steals from your soul, mind, or body, it is an idol . Technological use without benefit of Holy Spirit led instruction can be a tool of destruction.

Prayerfully consider your use and time with technology. Is it a tool that is being used properly by you or an idol? Has it replaced time with God or loved ones?

Technology can be used for good. I use technology on a regular basis. My ability to post this online is a use of technology. Yet, I must guard the way I use and spend my time with it, as to not exclude the true benefit of having  healthy one to one communication with others.
To not allow the screen to replace the beauty of face to face human interaction in our daily life.
I want to encourage you to communicate today ..in person, if possible.

I find myself on a busy day sending a quick note or quick question for needed information to those that I know. I never really considered how often I ask a question. Being a fairly practical person I want to get an answer and bring any subject to completion when dealing with business. But relationships don't happen that way. And that is the difficult part! Realigned Focus

At times strength arrives in drops of liquid peace as I worship. Arms extended, heart submitted upward I reach to be cradled by the strong arms of peace that sustain me. By God’s love that restores and renews me. Praying the Word of God will settle the waves assaulting your peace.  The Word of God will reveal the false narrative that floats you into storm filled seas. Be still and know.  Prayer can refocus us when we have been blown off course by the cares of this world and the spiritual intensity of daily life. Spend time with God. He welcomes you and delights that you are seeking Him. Prayer and worship can strengthen you in your journey here on this Earth.  Take time to be still and know that God is God .  The surrender of self to realignment will strip you of false layers, preparing you to rest in the warmth of the LORD’s peace and care.
